one of the features that make this zoo exclusive and unique is its detailed recreation of natural environments. the park is a true representation of the fauna natural habitat and makes the visit a discovery experience through madagascar, equatorial africa and south east asia, where lush vegetation and constant water elements are present.

the impressive baobab, a 25 m tall tree, welcomes the visitor. this tree represents the entrance to the island of madagascar, where we will find 4 different species of lemurs, one of the endangered species that we may find in fuengirola zoo.

a total of 120 species and 1,300 animals live in this lush wild forest nestled in the middle of fuengirola. many of these animals are part of european programmes of reproduction in captivity, in order to save endangered species. these programmes are truly necessary in order to increase the population of species in real danger of extinction.
